Lucia is a glow-worm, that works as a receptionist at a hotel owned by the dazzling bumblebee Marimba. They take care of the hotel guests together with the Åke, a long-time tennant and grasshopper.

The series was based on an idea by Frida Boëthius, Sarah Miller and I (Jens Peter de Pedro). As one of the creators I designed the characters and created an artistic guide for the over all production, that was then used by the set designers. Hotel Chantarelle was nominated for the Kristallen Prize in 2008 for best children's program and is now in its sixth season on national television.

Hotels Chanterelle also has a very nice web site that can be enjoyed with English subtitles! The site was made entirely by filming the actual puppets on the set. The films were then made into interactive games allowing the children to play with Lucia, Åke and Marimba, almost as were it in real life.
